It doesn't get better than Love Garden. I've traveled all over, I can't think of a store that does it better overall. FANTASTIC used LP & CD selection, HUGE dollar bin for LPs. The staff at this store gets my #1 vote for a combination of knowledge & friendliness. If you're like me, you'll need a whole day to do this place properly.

As a music junkie I've seen a lot of record stores from New York City to Seattle to San Francisco. Love Garden is the Midwest's premiere record store. Great selection of 45's, incredible selection of used & new country/rock/punk/new wave/reggae/soul/jazz/hip-hop vinyl & cd's, unusual and rare lp's/cd's/dvd's, a magnificent cross-section of excellent independent comics & mags, fantubular selection of local artists, blah, blah, blah...just go there and gawk. You will not be disappointed. Pet the cats!

This is one of the single best record stores I've ever been to.

Fabulous! Wins extra points for looking like just a tiny doorway- but being the size of a small barn upstairs. I spent a dizzy afternoon there & heard they had to kick Ira Kaplan out at closing time.

Didn't want to toot our own horn, but I felt I had to clear up a misconception in the previous review. We would never, ever kick Ira Kaplan (who has visited us a number of times)out of the store, even if we had to stay open late for him to shop. It was J Mascis who was kicked out.
